Nabingingi Gobin, of Lot 1049 Aubrey Barker Road, Greater Georgetown, was jailed for two years by Magistrate Leron Daly when he appeared before her at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Wednesday.
The Magistrate found Gobin guilty of the charge which stated that between July 2, 2015 and July 4, 2015, he broke and entered the dwelling of James Samuels and stole several pistols as well as matching rounds, a quantity of gold and diamond jewellery, metal safes, one television and other items worth over $17 million.
In court, Magistrate Daly informed the defendant that the evidence against him was sufficient and as such, he was found guilty of the allegation.
