2 arrested for ganja hidden in spare wheel

A driver and a porter are now in custody of the Itaballi Police after they were found to be in possession of cannabis (ganja) which was discovered hidden in a spare wheel.

According to reports reaching Guyana Times, the two men were detained by ranks at Bartica, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni).

The Police Officers were at the time carrying out a search around 16:30h on Monday when the 433 grams of cannabis was unearthed.

The two men were detained and questioned. They were now being processed for court.
