Alleged narco trafficker remanded

A Bent Street, Wortmanville, Georgetown man was remanded to prison when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Friday, to answer to a trafficking in narcotics charge.

Kelron Mackenzie denied the charge, which stated that on February 7, 2017, at Bent Street, Georgetown, he had in his possession 260 grams of cannabis for the purposes of trafficking.

Mackenzie, who was unrepresented, was remanded to prison by Magistrate Judy Latchman until February 16, when the matter will continue before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
