Bursary Awards to children of Sugar Workers for 2016.

Speaking at the simple ceremony, Chairman, Allan Munroe, congratulated the awardees and encouraged the parents to continue supporting their children in all their endeavours.

He told the students that education is the key to success, but this encompasses not only academic studies, but inculcating the correct attitudes of mind and skills that would enable them to contribute to the development of our country. He said that spiritual development is also important and will assist in enabling them to be rounded individuals.

“Learn to respect each other, irrespective of race, creed or political belief and strive to make this country, nay, a world that is just, equitable and inclusive. Appreciate the urgency to contribute to economic growth and environmental protection to benefit us all,” he advised the students.
