Clash of beauty, tradition expected at Miss Amerindian Heritage Pageant

The National Cultural Centre is the place to be this Saturday evening as 10 Amerindian beauties take to the stage to compete for the title of Miss Amerindian Heritage 2017.
The delegates were officially introduced to the public on Saturday last at the Everest Cricket Club Ground during the Amerindian Heritage Day of Sport.
The beauties are presently making sure that everything is in order for the big night. Their elaborate gowns and more so, their traditional outfits are always eye catching. Most of the delegates are also making sure that their talent pieces are well rehearsed so that come pageant night, they can impress the judges with the hope of getting the nod.
The pageant will commence with the opening dance and introduction. The other segments will include talent, a question and answer segment on their platforms, evening wear, traditional wear and most importantly, the final question. The final question will be asked after the final five delegates are announced.
As of this evening, the NCC is being prepped for one of the most anticipated event that will draw the curtains down on long month of activities to observe Guyana’s Indigenous people. The crowned queen will have an opportunity to showcase her community and Amerindians as a whole.
Apart from the prizes, the queen will have bragging rights and attend events organised by the Indigenous People’s Affairs Ministry.
