Dr Norton released from hospital

Social Cohesion Minister, Dr George Norton was recently discharged from the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital, and is recovering and resting comfortably at home.

In a brief statement issued by the Ministry of the Presidency on Monday, the Minister’s prognosis was said to be good and he was expected to return to work in the next two weeks.
The Ministry of the Presidency added that it would provide additional updates as the need arose.
It was on Thursday that the Social Cohesion Minister was admitted to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit for observation, after complaining of feeling unwell.
It was reported that Norton had suffered “a heart attack”. The Minister went to the Hospital with a headache, high blood pressure and slightly slurred speech. Norton, a noted ophthalmologist, attracted much controversy during his tenure as Public Health Minister. He was subsequently transferred to the Social Cohesion Ministry, which functions within the Ministry of the Presidency.
