East Ruimveldt man slapped with attempted murder charge

A 26-year-old East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, man who was charged with attempted murder and two counts of robbery under arms, was remanded to prison by City Magistrate Leron Daly.

unlawfully wounded Quacy Joseph with the intent to commit murder.

Additionally, the accused on October 1, 2016, while being armed with a gun and in the company of others, robbed Virtual Complainant (VC) Boodnarine Bhoodoo of $600,000.

The third charge alleged that on October 12, 2016, the accused along with others, armed with a dangerous weapon relieved Bibi Jabar of $6000.

France, who was represented by Attorney Patrice Henry, was not required to plea to the indictable charges. Bail was denied and the man was remanded to prison.

France is expected to face the court again on March 13.
