An exciting chapter of football has dawned upon the local fraternity when NEW GPC INC provided local referees with brand new kits compliments of Xcite.

At a simple presentation ceremony on Friday at the NEW GPC Head Office located at Farm, East Bank Demerara the referees affiliated to the Guyana Football Referees Council received a number of sporting kits.

The Xcite branded kits include tops, trousers and socks for the officials of the beautiful game. Xcite is one of the leading pharmaceuticals in the long line of products produced by NEW GPC.

President of the Guyana Football Referees Council (GFRC), Dion Inniss, said the sterling contribution by this particular company is one which has been an integral part to the efficient running of the council for over a decade, as he extendsGrey Little Snitch gratitude for the gesture.

This is not the first time, NEW GPC has contributed to this organization, “I want to thank the management straight of the bat for this very generous donation in terms of football, NEW GPC has been a great friend of Football, particularly referees, we have had very generous donations from this company both financially and in gears and I really want to shower them with praise,” Innis said.

He went on to say that, “Many felt that since the company sponsors the Amazon Warriors in cricket, they would have forgotten the other sports, but this is not the case as the company continues to make integral donations to other sports, especially football having been with us through thick and thin.”

“While many businesses are complaining about a downturn in the economy,” Innis said, “this has not stopped NEW GPC from making a generous donation to us of some high quality gear” that the referees will wear as soon as today.

Meanwhile, NEW GPC Marketing International Sales Associate Elizabeth Ram, noted that the company will continue to associate itself with sports in the future and is proud to be partners with the GFRC.

Speaking on behalf of the management and board of the company, Ram said “We are very pleased to be on board with the GFRC and you can look forward for us being there for you in the future.”

Innis urged other companies to follow the footsteps of NEW GPC and support sports stating that “The gold standard NEW GPC has carried for many years in really contributing to the development of sport in a very tangible way as we look forward to many more years of partnership.”
