Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts clerk charged with assault

A clerk attached to the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts was on Wednesday charged and taken before the court for assault.
Brian Chow was cross charged along with James Rampersaud and they both appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore, where they both pleaded not guilty to the offence.
It is alleged that on June 11, at Alexander Village, Georgetown, they assaulted each other with intent to cause actual bodily harm.
Chow however faced two other charges. The first alleged that on the same day at the same location, he damaged property belonging to Rampersaud valued at ,000.
He was also charged with using abusive language towards Rampersaud which was a breach of a bond to keep the peace.
Both parties were granted ,000 bail each and are to return to court on July 11.
