Man remanded on burglary charge

Wesley Fernandes of Plaisance, East Coast Demerara (ECD) was on Friday remanded to prison after his arraignment before Georgetown Magistrate Leron Daly, before whom he denied stealing 0,000 worth of items from Ken’s Jewellery.
The 39-year-old denied that he broke and entered Ken’s storage bong and stealing therefrom three pumps, one generator and one pressure washer, all to the total value of $500,000.
The Police Prosecutor objected to bail being granted, and noted that the defendant does not have a fixed place of abode.
Bail was refused and the defendant was remanded, to return on September 22.
