MBK All Stars, Mocha, Albouystown ‘A’ and North Ruimveldt continued their good form by winning their matches to remain unbeaten in the inaugural Guinness Cage / Three Peat Promotions Indoor Championship on Tuesday evening at the National Gymnasium.
The All- Stars edged Champion Boys 3-2 much to the delight of the sizable crowd in attendance. Peter George led the way with a brace, netting in the 16th and 17th while teammate Nevon Haynes opened the scores in the 14th minute.

For the Champion Boys, who played far from their name would suggest saw Lloyd Matthews (3rd) and Melvin Squires (5th) give their side the early lead which they folded.
More so, Mocha won 2-1 on penalty kicks against Hustlers after the match ended 1-1. Hitting the target for Mocha was Amos Ramsey in the 13th while Anthony Sancho scored the in the 10th.
The combination of Shaka Jones (13th) and Renault Fraser (14th) sealed Albouystown ‘A’ 2-1 victory over Pike Street whose lone goal came from the heels of Kelville Frank in the 4th minute.
Ol Skool Baller withered away against the experience North Ruimveldt, who won 1-0 after Kacey John made his mark in the 7th minute.
In addition, Future Stars kept their composure for a 2-0 win over Showstoppers. Jermaine Beckles (12th) and Jamal Cozier (13th) were at the helm of the victory.
Meanwhile, Sparta Boss needing a win to stay in contention of a spot in the knock-out stages won 2-1 against Albouystown ‘B’. Senior statesmen Gregory Richardson (12th) and Solomon Austin (16th) were the successful marksmen. Mickel Brandt had leveled the scores in the 15th.
For Leopold Street, who are in a similar predicament like Sparta Okanie Fraser in the 12th minute the difference for in their clash against Back circle.
While West Front road won 3-1 on penalty kicks after their match ended 1-1 with Tiger bay. Michael Pedro gave the winners the lead in the 5th but Keoma Gravesande equalized in the 14th.
However, they both have negative goal differences and will need to win their respective matchups tonight to guarantee a place in the quarter-finals set for Saturday, at the same venue.
The Bosses play group A’ leaders North Ruimveldt in the final game of the night, while West Front Road ‘Gold is Money’ takes on second placed Group ‘B’ team Hustlers, who also have to register a victory to secure a last eight berth.
Another big team that will have to win this evening to advance is Back Circle, who could not reproduce their form and went down to Leopold Street that needed to prevail to put them in a position to progress to the quarter-finals.
Some of the teams to exit the championship are Albouystown ‘B’, Pike Street, Sophia, Tiger Bay, Champion Boys and Showstoppers.
Over $800,000 in prize monies and trophies will be up for grabs with the winner set to receive $400,000 and the championship trophy, while second, third and fourth placed finishers will take home $200,000, $100,000 and $50,000 along with trophies respectively.
