In less than 24 hours, a new Miss India Guyana will be crowned following the pageant which is slated for the Guyana Marriott Hotel this evening, commencing at 20:00h. The 10 delegates are adding their final touches to their outfits and are ready to compete in the various segments with the hope of securing the coveted title. 
The finalists are Cynthia Dookie, Sangeeta Bahadur, Alecia Jiwanram, Shoshanna Ramdeen, Divya Singh, Karishma Makwana, Samantha Chunilall, Rajnie Shiwpal, Sarah Rajkaran and Ash Ramnauth.
All of the finalists went
through a two-month long training session, which saw them participating in several professional and personal developmental seminars. Th
is also saw them being pre-judged in the preliminary round of the competition.
On coronation night the delegates will compete in the talent, evening gown, and Indian wear segments and the queen will be determined after the intelligence segment.
Also, patrons will be mesmerised by a packed cultural presentation, consisting of a presentation by Miss India Worldwide, Karina Kohli; the Ishara Dance Troupe; Ryan Dance Group; and the Magic Touch Dance Troupe. Also performing at the event will be local singing sensation, Mahendra Ramkellawan.
Tickets for the event cost $15,000 which includes a buffet dinner and $5000 for general admission.
