Nurse and her team visited the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC) where they made the donation. She explained that while it was the second time for the project, which is conducted biennially, it was the first time that Linden moms have benefitted.
The first project was conducted at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Nurse, a social worker for 25 years, explained that while she was born and raised in Brooklyn, both of her parents are from Guyana.
She said while she frequents the country, she enjoys giving back.
Nurse thanked her co-workers here and in the United States who provided contributions.
The recipients and staff at the LHC also expressed gratitude for the kind gesture.
