Orealla ‘A’ hoping for change in fortunes

Action in the GT BEER/Berbice Football Association competition continues this evening at the All Saints School Ground on Princess Elizabeth Road, New Amsterdam, with two matches.
Orealla ‘A’ will hope for a change in fortunes as they battle Mahaica Determinators FC. Mahaica will be making their first appearance in the tournament while Orealla will be looking to rebound from their 4- loss in the opening game of the tournament. The game is expected to be a high scoring encounter.
The final match will see Orealla ‘B’ (Siporuta) taking on Berbice Police. Orealla played to a draw in their lone game in the competition so far white Berbice
Georgetown Police is leading the group after a win and a draw. A win for the law men will ensure them a place in the know out round.

Meanwhile, on Sunday last Beacon FC disposed of Arsenal 4-1 with Delon Cadogan, Christian Galloway, Kimba Braitwaite and Shevas Lyken hitting the back of the net while Keen Williams netted the lone goal for Arsenal.
The night also saw Georgetown Police chalking up their second win as a Kester Douglas in the 45 minute was all that was needed to get pass Mahaicony FC 1-0.
Young Strikers of Manchester prevented Edinburgh Gunners from scoring and inflicted a 3-0 whipping them. The gunners had won their two previous games but had no answers Ester Collins who scored in the 15 minute, Marcello Reis 29 minute goal and Sherwin Nicholas who scored in the 45 minute. Young Strikers are on 3 points from two games. Action in the first match starts at 19:00h.
