The 27 year old Berbician has so far played 60 domestic T20 matches picking up 42 wickets is among three uncapped players that are included in the squad of 16. Jason Mohammed and Jonathan Carter who featured for the West Indies in the recent ODI series against England are the others.

Mohammed who plays in the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) alongside Permaul for the Amazon Warriors scored two half centuries in the three-match series when West Indies were white-washed at the hands of the visiting English side.

The 30 year old has so far played 53 T20s scoring 631 runs at an average of 23.37 and a strike rate of 98.23 runs per hundred balls. The Trinidadian is also handy with the ball with his right are off breaks while in the field he is considered an asset in the deep with his safe pair of hands.

Jonathan Carter who plays for the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots in CPL and also featured against England in the recent series showed some form with scores of 52, 39 and 46.

Also included for the West Indies are international T20 super stars Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Lendl Simmons, Samuel Badree and Marlon Samuels. The side will be captained by Carlos Brathwaite.

The series opens in Barbados, where the first Twenty20 will be played at the Kensington Oval on Sunday, March 26; then moves over to Trinidad and Tobago for three additional Twenty20 matches that are scheduled for Thursday, March 30, Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2 respectively, at the Queen’s Park Oval.
