Petra/Limacol football tournament kicks-off tonight at GFC

The highly anticipated 2nd annual Petra organised Limacol Round Robin/Knock-out football tournament will kick-off tonight at the Georgetown Football Club, (GFC), Bourda with two exciting matches.
The first of the double header will occur at 18:30 hrs as Police Force FC will seek to arrest Mahaica Determinators after which at 20:30 hrs, Riddim Squad will clash with  Camptown FC.
According to organisers the tournament which is aimed at giving clubs which are not in the Elite League a chance to showcase their talents will be exhilarating.
The group of death seems to be Group A which comprises of defending champions Milerock, top Linden side, Winners Connection, East Bank Champions, Grove Hi Tech and Northern Rangers.
Group B comprises of : Western Tigers, Uitvulgt, Eagles United and New Amsterdam United; Group C: Santos FC, Pouderoyen, Den Amstel and Ann’s Gove United and Group D: Police Force FC, Riddim Squad, Campton FC and Mahaica Determinators
The top teams will complete for a 0,000 first place prize while second to third will receive 0,000, 5,000 and ,000 respectively.
In addition, the top teams in the groups will be rewarded 0,000, ,000, ,000 and ,000.
In addition to title sponsors Limacol, the organisers have also managed to gain the support of Bank DIH under their GT Beer brand and Star Party Rentals.
