Rutherford, Ali-Mohammed, Singh appointed ambassadors

The management of the East Bank Cricket Association (EBCA) on Thursday named three player’s ambassadors for the franchise, with hopes of encouraging them to do better as they go forward.

During the brief ceremony held at the Gandhi Youth Organization (GYO) ground, East Bank franchise Manager and EBCA Vice-President Rohan Sarjoo, EBCA President Anand Kalladeen, Secretary Mohammed Bashk along with committee member Ronald Jaisingh, made the presentations of three certificates to all-rounders Sherfane Rutherford and Ronaldo Ali-Mohammed along with batsman Sachin Singh for their performances in the ongoing Jaguars Franchise 3-Day league.
Rutherford, who bagged 12 wickets in one match against Georgetown and scored a century against Essequibo in another, was given a brand new bat for his efforts while Ali-Mohammed was named captain of the franchise by Sarjoo for the remainder of the league as well as across all formats.
Meanwhile, Kalladeen during his remarks congratulated the players for being awarded ambassadorships and urged them to fulfill their new roles as well as their roles within the team. The EBCA President also hailed the franchise’s performance during the ongoing competition, thanking members of the GYO for allowing them to utilize their ground for preparations.
