Sponsors buying in to Guyana Softball Cup 6

The sixth edition of the annual International Softball tournament organised by the Guyana Floodlights Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA) bowls off tomorrow across various venues in Georgetown and just recently W.J. Enterprise of Regent Road has renewed their sponsorship with the prestigious tournament.
The three day tournament will have 10 Open Male teams and 14 Male Masters teams competing over three days for championship glory. Teams from Canada, New York and Florida are expected to match skills with the locals for softball cricket supremacy in the Americas.
Faithful partner, W.J. Enterprise, under the popular Croxley brand is pleased to endorse the international tournament for the third consecutive year as was revealed by Nasheena Naraine at the handing over ceremony. Also at the ceremony at the distribution centre for the popular brand of stationery products was Orgainzing Secretary of the GFSCA, Wayne Jones who said that everything is in place for a successful tournament and reminded patrons heading to the finals on Sunday at DCC to keep their lucky half tickets.

This year, more than two million dollars in cash and incentives are at stake and on the finals day an admission price of $1,000 will be charged at the gate while children 13 yrs and below will be admitted free. Friday and Saturday matches around Georgetown do not attract any admission fee.
Four persons may each win all expenses paid trips for themselves and a partner to Baganara (1 night), Kaiteur/Orinduik Falls (1day), Arrowpoint (1 night), and Aruwai Resort White H20 (1 night). While there are many other instant prizes to be won including 10 beautiful hampers and goodies from the sponsors including Stag, Rubis Guyana, Trophy Stall, Survival Group of Business, Steve Jewelery, Clear Waters, Busta Soft Drinks, Rohan Auto Spares, A&R Jewanram Printery, W.J Enterprise and Mikes Pharmacy.
The first ball is at 9:00h tomorrow in 11 games simultaneously across the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Base Camp Ayangana ground, the Guyana Police Force Sports Club ground at Eve Leary, Malteenoes, Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground and Gandhi Youth Oragnisation (GYO) ground. The second round of 11 games starts at 13:00h at the same venues.
On Saturday morning at 9:00h, the final 11 preliminary games will be played while at 13:00h two semi- finals will be played simultaneously at Eve Leary. Over at the DCC ground, one semi-final also starts at 13:00h followed by the other at 17:00h. On Sunday at the DCC Ground only, will be the Masters and Open Finals as well as three exhibition female 10/10 games. The female teams are Mikes Wellwoman, Trophy Stall Angels, 4R Lioness and Blue Divas who will begin the final day action with semi-finals from 10:00h.
Regal made a sweep of the titles last year winning the Masters and All-Star categories.
