An enforcement officer attached to the Guyana Revenue Authority was, in the wee hours of Friday, arrested after he discharged a loaded firearm while consuming alcohol at a popular night spot at Sandy Babb Street, Kitty Georgetown. 
Based on reports received, Police ranks on motorcycle arrested the resident of Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara while he was in the company of others. The accused reportedly had discharged several rounds from his 9MM pistol into the air.
The Police ranks took possession of the weapon and 13 live rounds of ammunition that were left in the magazine. The man remains in custody assisting with investigations.
