As Police wrap up their investigation into the murder of Neil Whyte, who was found stabbed to death in his apartment, the confessed murderer is expected to make his court appearance today at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
The suspect, who hails from Middle Road, La Penitence, Georgetown and who was employed with a taxi service in Fifth Street, Alberttown, Georgetown, confessed to killing Whyte during a robbery.
A Police source told Guyana Times that the completed file on the matter would be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions this morning and once it was returned in a timely manner, the suspect would be arraigned with the murder.
The 28-year-old taxi driver was arrested on Thursday last and confessed to the heinous crime after a few hours of interrogation.
Upon his confession, he led a team of Police ranks to a taxi base in Alberttown where he handed over several items belonging to the now dead man, along with a
