All set for Women in Business Expo this weekend

Come this weekend, the Sonia Noel Foundation for the Creative Arts in collaboration with the Women’s Association for Sustainable Development will host the second annual Women in Business Expo, at the Pegasus Hotel. The event is slated for Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 commencing at 10:00h on both days and will run until 20:00h.
Over 50 small-scale and seasoned businesswomen will gather to showcase their products, services and skills in what is slated to be the largest trade expo for Women in Guyana’s history.
Exhibitors from all walks of life, ranging from real estate brokerage, cleaning services and event planners to fashion designers will be on showcase.
These exhibitors hail from Georgetown, Berbice, Linden, Bartica and even as far as the hinterland region, and are committed to offering the very best of what they produce.
As part of the observances for International Women’s Day 2017, the Expo was extended to include three separate forums – technology, business and health. These forums were designed to assist these exhibitors and other interested young and small businesswomen to learn and develop their skills in an effort to grow and improve their businesses.
Included in the weekend activities is the hugely anticipated ‘Inspire You’ event, in the Savannah Suite at 17:00h.
‘Inspire You’ invokes an atmosphere of enlightenment and motivational lectures from very successful and inspiring women who have dedicated their life’s work to helping other women achieve and realise their dreams.
Speakers include Anna McCoy, Executive Coach; Dr Linda Wallace, Empowerment Specialist; and Sherry Ann Dixon, Journalist and Lecturer. Social Protection Minister Amna Alli will give the feature address at the official opening and ribbon cutting of the weekend’s activities.
