Devastating pugilist, Imran ‘Magic’ Khan was in all praise of his team following his victory over Keeve Alicock at the Locked and Loaded international boxing card last Sunday at the Giftland Mall, which signalled the return of the champion.

The confidence level of the skilled Albouystown man was high, immediately giving thanks to the almighty for his success. “First off all I want to give the almighty thanks for this victory,” he said while indicating that “the task was not so bad” even though he made a lot of mistakes which resulted in him being cut over his left eye.

Khan was afraid that the fight would have been called off because of the heavy bleeding, but managed to fend off the injury to come out on top.

While Khan credited his opponent for his strength, it was clear that he had improved on his stamina which allowed him to last the six-round affair still able to box, something that was lacking from his game in his previous two fights against Quincy Gomes.

“To be honest I still think I can improve on my stamina and fitness because I didn’t get to train much because I was suffering from an injury to my right side and ankle,” Khan said.

Khan noted that the fight was difficult and could possibly have a different outcome but deep down knew it would go down to the decision of the judges after sparring with Alicock before.

Immediately after the fight the management team of Khan had already issued a challenge to have a rematch between the two skilled boxers noting that the intention is to show that this win was no fluke. Also the prediction of that fight was a knockout in favour of Khan.

Meanwhile, Alicock had promised that the rematch is definitely on the cards as he is ready to seek vengeance and level the scores.
