The dead man’s cousin, Wayne Calvan told Guyana Times that the now dead man worked with Chabhinauth Singh, also known as “Sanjay” of Good Hope, East Bank Essequibo, for quite some time.

He related that the incident occurred approximately three miles from the Tasaweni Landing and was sure it was the hit to the head that caused his cousin’s demise.

Further, he stated that the man was pinned for some time as the workers attempted to remove the tree which was about 15 inches in circumference. After he was pulled, his cousin was bleeding profusely through his nose and ears.
