The hunt for a new Miss East Bank Demerara (EBD) has commenced and the organiser of the event is looking for well-rounded females to participate. The date for the pageant is set for November 25 in Soesdyke, EBD.
The crowned queen will not only enjoy bragging rights for a year but will also win fabulous prizes. If you are between the ages of 17 and 26 and single (unmarried), here is your chance to be crowned Miss East Bank. Also, the young ladies must not have children and must possess a sound secondary education.
The pageant seeks to give young girls on the East Bank of Demerara a chance to boost their self-esteem and more so, to showcase their various communities. It will also be used as a catalyst to empower young woman to deal with various social issues such as domestic violence, teenage pregnancy, child abuse, sexual abuse and others.
