Sari draping demo and exhibition for this weekend at Kaylan Centre and shopping plaza

For some, Sari draping can be an exhausting job and although several hours are spent on doing so, the draping is not done to perfection. To help those who find the draping challenging, some Indian garment stores have begun importing readymade wrapped saris to ease the confusion of the draping.
However, after taking into consideration the challenges in draping a sari, a two-day event is planned to assist persons in overcoming this challenge.
The two-day affair is billed for March 25-26 and is referred to as a Sari Draping Demonstration and Exhibition. The event is organised by the India High Commission in light of the 100th anniversary of the abolition of Indian indentureship.
The two-day affair will be held at Kalyan Centre and Shopping Plaza, Lot 162 Lamaha Street, Georgetown. Apart from the demonstration, there will be several pieces on sale. Whether for a wedding, a Hindu function or a gala event, the ideal piece of Indian garment can be found at the exhibition.
The sari draping demo starts at 15:00h on both days but the exhibition starts at 11:00h and ends at 20:00h. Admission to the event is absolutely free.
