South Ruimveldt man charged with break and enter

Travis Sobers of 3229 David’s Place, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown pleaded not guilty to a break-and-enter charge when he was arraigned on Monday before Georgetown Magistrate Judy Latchman.
Particulars of that charge allege that on May 19 at about 03:30h, the 32-year-old attempted to break and enter the Lamaha Place, Georgetown dwelling house of Dion Glasgow by going through a window.
However, the woman was awakened by a noise, and upon inspection saw the defendant at her window. He managed to escape, but was later pointed out and apprehended by Police Officers.
The Prosecutor objected to bail being granted the defendant because he had given the Police a different address to the one he gave in court, shows that he was a flight risk.
Magistrate Latchman nevertheless placed the defendant on $150,000 bail, and instructed that he return to court on June 12, 2017.
