Teen denies stealing body spray

A teenager who was accused of stealing a bottle of body spray was on Friday granted bail when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to answer to the charge.

Rickford Marcus, 19, denied the charge against him when it was read by Magistrate Leron Daly.

The charge stated that on July 30, 2017, at Tucville, Georgetown, stole one body spray valued at $3000; property of Kenzia Simon.

The Virtual Complainant (VC) told the court that she is proceeding with the matter due to the fact that the defendant is in the habit of stealing.

She explained that the body spray was found on the defendant by his mother who returned it to her.

Magistrate Daly granted bail to the defendant in the sum of $10,000. He is scheduled to make his next court appearance on August 14.
