Items found in the house at Onderneeming, WBD during the raid
One man was arrested after Police discovered an unlicensed firearm along with several live rounds of matching ammunition and other items during a search at a house in Onderneeming, West Bank Demerara (WBD).
Based on information received, about 15:30h on Saturday, Police swooped down on the house and a search was initiated during which a .32 Taurus pistol without a serial number and seven matching rounds were found.
In addition, one black handled knife and one black toque were found under a mattress in one of the bedrooms.
Following the discovery, ranks took possession of the items and escorted a 23-year-old man to Parfaite Harmonie Police Outpost, where he was questioned. Investigations are ongoing.
