One construction worker has died and several others were injured after a three-storey building under construction collapsed on Tuesday evening at Atlantic Gardens, East Coast Demerara.
Dead Radesh Domingo, 46, of Spring Garden, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), who is now residing at Mon Repos, ECD.
Reports are that the building collapsed at about 18:00h when the unfinished structure reportedly gave way and crashed into the yard of a nearby residence. This newspaper was told that about seven workers were transported to the hospital by several ambulances.
An investigation has been launched by police.
