Ten young and intelligent young ladies will be the central point of attention on August 9 when the compete for the title of Miss Guyana Police Force at the National Cultural Centre. The delegates were chosen from various departments within the Guyana Police Force.
Prior to pageant night, the delegates will compete in several activities. On Wednesday last, the contestants participated in the fitness run followed by target shooting.
On Wednesday, July 31, they will compete in swimming at the National Aquatic Centre. These activities will constitute 15 points while on the night of the pageant, the other 85 will be up for grabs. On pageant night, the delegates will compete in the introduction, talent and sport wear segments.
They will also depict the clothing worn by the department they represent and finally the evening gown segment.
The question and answer segments will determine the winner of the contest who will reign for another year with bragging rights and fantastic gifts. tickets for the pageant cost $2,500, $1,500 and $1,000 for the Auditorium Front, Auditorium Rear and Balcony respectively.
The tickets will be available at the National Cultural Centre, Police Consumers Co-op, Robb Street; and from the various Police Divisions.
However, the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite delegates. Following the steps to do so.

Name: Toni Bentley
Age: 31
Representing: ‘F’ Division (Interior Locations)

Humble and ambitious are two words that best described this charming and dedicated Biologist turned Policewoman who so far has given 4 years of selfless service to the Guyana Police Force.
She is presently stationed at Bartica Police Station and attached to the Sexual Offences Unit and has travelled over mountains and through valleys in her call of duty in the interior region while expanding her horizons.

Name: Keaisha Erskine
Age: 23
Representing: ‘E’ Division (Linden)
Platform: Suicide
God-fearing, benevolent and humble are just a few words to describe this Detective Constable who is a born Lindener and is proud to be representing that Division.
She is a second-year student at the University of Guyana student. In her spare time, she enjoys taking adventurous trips and spending quality time with her family.
Through her platform, she hopes to inspire others from her personal experience and also urges persons who are thinking of suicide to seek counselling and to look at the world in a different angle.

Age: 24 years old
Representing: ‘G’ Division (Essequibo)

This Policewoman who is stationed at Anna Regina Police Station was born under the zodiac sign Aquarius. She is ambitious, talented, discipline and confident. She enjoys reading, cooking and surfing the web.

Unique, God-fearing, charming and extraordinary are just a few words to describe this 24-year-old who is the only child of her mother; she hails from the village of Mahaicony on the East Coast of Demerara and was brought up by her grandmother.
She is the holder of a Diploma in Finance and Banking and enjoys reading, writing, cooking and spending time with loved ones and friends.

Representing: ‘A’ Division (Georgetown/East Bank Demerara)

Courageous, Confident and God-fearing are just a few words to describe this Policewoman who is stationed at the Brickdam Police Station, Traffic Department.
She enjoys reading, writing poems, modeling and meeting new people. Her philosophy is that her mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive and do so with some passion, some compassion, and some style.

Representing: ‘D’ Division (West Demerara)

Representing: ‘B’ Division (Berbice)
