Eleven young ladies from communities along the East Bank of Demerara are set to represent their respective villages on Saturday, November 18, when the Miss East Bank beauty pageant is hosted on the Tarmac of the Kings and Queens Multicomplex Mall at Soesdyke Junction.
The 11 delegates are currently undergoing rigorous training leading up to pageant night. The competition kicks off with the Intelligence segment on Wednesday, November 15, and the delegates will also be judged on their respective presentations on their villages.
On pageant night, these ambassadors will compete in four segments: casual wear, talent, swimwear, and evening gown. Following those four segments, five finalists will be announced, and these will be asked the final question.
A ticket for the grand coronation costs $2000, and can be obtained from Platinum Taxi Service at Grove Public Road; Ziggy’s Burger and Grill at Soesdyke Junction; Power Braff Go Green at Soesdyke Junction; and Roxy Tasty Treats on the Soesdyke Public Road, next to Soesdyke Secondary School.
