The 16 delegates competing for the titles of Miss St Joseph High School – Junior and Senior categories – are presently adding the final touches to their apparels as the time draws closer to pageant night which is slated for Sunday, April 30.
The delegates will be part of a grand rehearsal today at the National Cultural Centre led by their trainer, former beauty queen Alicia Bess. The 16 beauties; eight juniors and eight seniors, will be competing in the introduction, casual, talent, evening gown, platform question and the final question segments of the pageant.
The objective of the pageant is to help female students of the school develop their inner qualities and to contribute positively to the world. Over the years the pageant has helped to enhance the confidence, public speaking abilities and general success of the delegates as well as raise funds for projects in the school.
The pageant will be hosted by the St Joseph High School Old Students’ Association in collaboration with the administration of the school.
The pageant is a fundraising activity to finance projects to improve the school so as to better educate students of the learning institution. Tickets to the event are $2000, $1500 and $1000 and are available at the National Cultural Centre, St Joseph High School and members of the executive committee.
