Sixteen delegates competing for the title of Miss St Joseph High School will officially be sashed on Saturday at the school’s patio, Woolford Avenue, Georgetown. Six of the beauties will be competing in the junior category while 10 will compete in the senior category.
The objective of the pageant is to help female students of the school develop their inner qualities and to contribute positively to the world.
Over the years the pageant has helped to enhance the confidence, public speaking abilities and general success of the delegates as well as raise funds for projects in the school.
The pageant will be hosted by the St Joseph High School Old Students’ Association in collaboration with the administration of the school.
The pageant is a fundraising activity to finance projects to improve the school so as to better educate students of the institution. Tickets for the sashing ceremony cost $1000 and will be available at the school. The pageant is slated for the National Cultural Centre on April 30.
