18-year-old busted with ganja plants in home

An 18-year-old labourer of Mocha, East Bank Demerara has been taken into Police custody after a number of cannabis plants were found at his home.
Guyana Times was informed that a party of Policemen, acting on information received, went to Barnwell North, Mocha EBD and made contact with the 18-year-old labourer. A search was carried out on his home, and several buckets with mould were found. Three of those buckets had what the Police suspected to be cannabis plants, measuring from seedling to 8 inches in height.
The man was immediately told of the offence, and he admitted thereto under caution. He was arrested and escorted to the Providence Police Station, where he is presently in custody assisting with the investigation.

Only a day ago, a teenager and three persons were arrested with a quantity of marijuana during raids in Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo). A party of Policemen had gone to the teen’s home and conducted a search, during which 2.6 grams of cannabis sativa were unearthed. The teen was arrested, and remains in custody pending charges.
