2 arrested following discovery of 27kg ganja

Two persons were arrested on Monday following the discovery of 27 kilograms of compressed marijuana in an apartment building in Eccles Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara.
Based on information received, the discovery and ultimate arrest were a result of an intelligence-led operation by ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch.
The suspects, a foreign male national and a female, are expected to make their first court appearance today (Wednesday).
