Two men, respectively aged 26 and 38, are currently in Police custody for stealing two batteries that belong to a businessman at Goed Intent, West Bank Demerara (WBD).
The Police have said that the incident occurred at sometime between 20:30h on Monday and 06:00h on Tuesday. The 36-year-old businessman reportedly told Police that he had parked and secured his canter truck, GZZ 1756, in front of his home on Monday at about 20:30h. However, at about 06:00h on Tuesday, he went to start his truck to head out to work but he discovered the batteries were missing. A report was subsequently made to the Police and an investigation was launched.
Following Police investigations, the two suspects were detained for questioning, and are both in custody as investigations continue.
