2 bandits shot dead in attempted robbery at Chinese supermarket

Two bandits were killed on Tuesday evening during an attempted robbery at a Chinese-owned supermarket on Hadfield Street, Georgetown.
Dead are Orwin Garraway and Tyrese Adams, both of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown.

Reports are that three men entered the Jia Jai supermarket at about 19:30h armed with a firearm, jumped over two counters to the cashier’s area. However, the men were confronted by a licensed security guard on duty. The encounter escalated quickly, resulting in both suspects being shot dead at the scene.
CCTV footage seen by this publication shows the men entering the supermarket, one attacking an employee while the other ransacked the counter obliquely opposite. The armed security guard can be seen discharging several rounds, fatally shooting two of the three suspects.
