2 charged for cocaine, ganja trafficking

A 36-year-old resident of John Street, Lodge, Georgetown, was hauled before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts for a trafficking in cocaine charge.
The charge stated that on April 13, at North Road, Bourda, Angelo Lupe had in his possession 18 grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Lupe pleaded not guilty and was released on bail in the sum of $100,000.
Also appearing at the court for a possession of narcotics charge was Derrick Robinson, a 65-year-old labourer.
Robinson, who hails from D’Urban Street, Lodge, denied the charge when it was read to him by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
The charge stated that on April 13, at North Road, Bourda, Robinson had in his possession nine grams of cannabis.
Following his not-guilty plea, Robinson was granted $50,000 bail.
Both matters have been adjourned to May 17, 2021. (G15)
