Carmichael pleaded not guilty to the charge. However, bail was refused since the defendant has a pending firearm charge made out against him. As such, he was remanded to prison until March 19, 2021.
Back in November 2019, Carmichael was jointly charged with another defendant for the possession of 245 grams of cannabis.
Due to insufficient evidence, the case was dismissed against him. In the same matter, the other party was given a three-year sentenced and ordered to pay $367,000 in fines.
Meanwhile Esaun Rose also appeared before Magistrate Daly to answer to a narcotics charge.
According to the charge, on February 17, 2021, from Laine Avenue to La Penitence, Georgetown, Rose had in his possession 158 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
Rose pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $100,000.
