According to Crime Chief Michael Kingston, the men who were wanted for the murder turned themselves in on Wednesday, accompanied by their lawyers.
Twenty-year-old Errol Thapordeen, also called “Buffy”, “Bowie” and “Powie”, of Enterprise, ECD, along with his unidentified accomplice, is expected to be charged with murder today.
Persaud reportedly took his last breath on Sunday evening while receiving medical attention at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was lashed to the head by members of a gang who allegedly invaded the wedding house.
It was reported that “Bayo” of Enmore, ECD and his family were at his cousin’s wedding on the night in question when a group of young men invaded the property and attacked the invitees.

However, upon realising what was happening, Persaud went to intervene, but was dealt one blow to the head with a piece of wood.
Despite being injured, the young man managed to protect his family members, but later collapsed. He was picked up and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was admitted and subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
One day after the incident, the Police had issued a wanted bulletin for Thapordeen.
