As investigations continue into the shooting death of 49-year-old Dexter Lynch, whose lifeless body was found at Self Help Square in East Ruimveldt, Georgetown with a single gunshot wound more than a month ago, the Police have arrested two persons.

Contacted on Thursday, relatives of the late Dexter Lynch explained that the Police have been in constant contact with them, thereby updating them on the murder investigations.
The lifeless body of Dexter Lynch, of Madewini, Linden-Soesdyke Highway, was found at Self Help Square in East Ruimveldt, Georgetown at about 03:05h on June 6, 2022, after ranks had reportedly received a report from an unknown caller about a body seen lying on the roadway.
Upon arrival at the scene several minutes later, Police officers had observed the body of the victim lying face down, clad in a pair of black pants, a multi-coloured shirt, a blue hooded sweater, and a toque on his head.
An initial examination of the body had revealed what had appeared to be a gunshot injury on the left side of his abdomen, and one .40 spent shell was recovered about six feet south of the body.
Also found next to the body was a haversack containing two bottles of alcoholic beverages, two bottles of cologne, two body sprays, two knives, and $18,860 in cash.
Police, working on several leads, have reportedly arrested two men, and they are being questioned by detectives.
