2 intercepted at Weldaad road block with ganja

Two passengers of a minibus were on Saturday nabbed with a quantity of ganja in their possession during a Police road block at Weldaad Police Station, West Coast Berbice.
Based on reports received, the Police acted on information received and intercepted the minibus.
The two passengers were searched, and three taped parcels of processed cannabis with a total weight of 1986 grams were found. The two passengers were arrested and are being processed for court.
Several persons using public transportation had in the past been arrested at this very road block after large quantities of ganja had been unearthed in their possession.
