2 jailed for gun, ammo possession

Two labourers will spend the next three years in prison after they admitted to having an illegal firearm along with matching ammunition in their possession.
Thirty-four-year-old Anthony Lamazone of Grant Cullen, Lower Pomeroon River and Munesh Ramsaroop, 27, of Back Street, Charity, Essequibo Coast on Thursday appeared at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Esther Sam.
The men were jointly charged and admitted to having the unlicensed items in their possession on November 19, 2018 at Anna Regina, Essequibo Coast. They were jailed and fined $100,000 each.
