Two missionaries were on Tuesday evening killed in a two-vehicle crash on the Linden-Soesdyke Highway.
Dead are Cornelis Rozema, 75, and Bernice Rozema, 79, of Hararuni Village.
While details are sketchy, reports are the accident occurred at about 20:00h as the couple was heading home. This publication was told that Cornelis Rozema, who was the driver of the motor car, allegedly ended up in the path of a truck. The couple died on the spot.
This newspaper was told that the couple, of the Netherlands, moved to Guyana some years ago. (More details in our December 17th edition)
