2 Laing Avenue residents charged for theft

Two Laing Avenue, Georgetown residents were on Friday morning before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, charged for stealing a car engine along with other items.
David George, 18, of Laing Avenue Squatting Area; and Seon Nedd, 27, of Lot 189 Laing Avenue, Georgetown, both denied the allegation made against them.
The charge read that on August 15, 2017, at Lot 65 East Ruimveldt, Georgetown they stole one car engine valued 0,000, four car shocks valued ,000 and one AC Unit and compressor valued ,000; a total value of 0,000 and the property of Jermaine Davidson.
The facts of the matter revealed that the Virtual Complainant (VC) was involved in and accident at Alexander Street, Kitty, and the following day was forced to park his car at the address from where the items were stolen.
The aforementioned items were reportedly left in the car. However, when checks were made on August 21, 2017, the items were missing. As such, the matter was reported and the defendants were both arrested and charged.
Police Prosecutor Shawn Gonsalves had no bail objections and this was granted in the sum of 0,000.
Both men are required to reappear in court on September 15.
