2 men wanted for Buxton teen, Berbice businessman’s murders

The Guyana Police Force has issued two bulletins for two men wanted for separate murders.

Murdered businessman: Lomenzo Johnny, called “Sham”

In the first instance, 25-year-old John France, of Lot 20 Section A Friendship, Buxton, East Coast Demerara (ECD), is wanted for the murder of Daniel Amore who was killed on March 1, 2020.
Amore was killed whilst trying to protect his mother from a knife and cutlass-wielding family member.
He was stabbed once to his chest by the suspect who fled the scene. The injured teen was picked up by his relatives and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, Daniel McLennon, also called “Dutty”, of Lot 153 Third Street Swamp Section Rose Hall, Corentyne, Berbice, is also wanted for murder.

He is wanted for the murder of Lomenzo Johnny, who was killed between February 26 and 27 at Port Mourant, Corentyne, Berbice.
On the day in question, the body of 49-year-old Lomenzo Johnny, called “Sham”, of Lot 11 Portuguese Quarters, Corentyne, was discovered in a yard at Rose Hall Town with his feet bound with a shoelace.
The sweater he was seen wearing on the evening before the discovery was found several feet away from the body.
A pair of scissors and a piece of wood were also close to the body. There was a wound to the back, bruises to his hand, and his head and face were swollen. Blood was flowing from his nose when the body was discovered.
