Two men were nabbed with a quantity of cannabis during separate Police operations on Monday and Tuesday in Berbice and at Itaballi Police Checkpoint.

attempting to traffic 1882 grams of marijuana.
Based on reports received, the man was first spotted by an undercover rank with the illegal plant opposite the B Division Headquarters waiting to be collected.
He was promptly arrested and was currently in custody assisting with investigations. In addition, a female cook of Moblissa, Linden- Soesdyke Highway, was arrested after she was found to be in possession of 144 grams of cannabis at the Itaballi Police Checkpoint.
Charges are expected to be instituted shortly.
