2 NOC escapees recaptured with stolen articles

Two of the 13 inmates of the New Opportunity Corps (NOC) who escaped from the facility more than a week ago were on Sunday morning recaptured at Supenaam, Essequibo Coast with a number of stolen items in their possession.
The teenagers were arrested between 04:30h and 08:00h after Police acted on a tip they received. Upon their arrest, the teens had in their possession one laptop, two yellow metal chairs, one Bluetooth Box, one external hard drive and one silver knife. The items are believed to have been stolen during a number of burglaries in the area recently.
The teens were taken into Police custody and were expected to be grilled on the whereabouts of the remaining escapees. Since the breakout a week ago, the Police have managed to recapture 10 with three now on the run.
The three on the run are a 16-year-old of Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara (WBD); a 15-year-old of Tucville Squatting Area, Georgetown and a 17-year-old of Number Five Village, West Coast Berbice (WCB).
It was reported that 10 of the inmates escaped at one time followed by another three the next day. They were sent to the NOC for various offences, including assault, threatening behaviour and robbery.
