Home News 2 on bail for unlawful wounding
A Kwakwani Park, Upper Berbice man was granted $30,000 bail by Magistrate Wanda Fortune when he appeared at the Linden Magistrates’ Court to answer to the charge of unlawful wounding.
Patrick Sheckle denied the charge which stated that on Monday July 22, 2019 at Kwakwani Park, Kwakwani, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Makel Williams.
The 27-year-old miner also currently has a pending traffic matter in the Court. Sheckle will return to Court on August 16.
Meanwhile, in the same Court, a 21-year-old construction worker was on Wednesday granted $30,000 bail for unlawful wounding.
Samuel Joe of 24 Chumley Hill, Wismar, Linden, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Joe is accused of unlawfully wounding Deon Barkchoi on December 22, 2018 at Section B Christianburg, Wismar. Joe was represented by Attorney Leslyn Charles, who in a bail application, told the Court that her client has no prior brushes with the law.
The prosecution had no objection to bail. The case will continue on August 5.
