2 wanted by Police for narco trafficking

The Guyana Police Force on Wednesday issued wanted bulletins for two men for questioning in connection with trafficking in narcotics on separate occasions at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), Timehri, East Bank Demerara.

The men have been identified as an ex-Policeman Shawn Nebblett, 33, of Community Lane, South Ruimveldt Park, Georgetown; and 54-year-old Azeemudeen Kamaludeen of Lying Street, Charlestown, Georgetown.

Nebblett is wanted for the cocaine bust which occurred on January 24, 2017, where a woman who was on a flight headed to Toronto, Canada was intercepteddrugs by members of the Police Narcotic Branch with 4178 grams of cocaine in her suitcase.

Meanwhile, Kamaludeen is wanted in connection with the discovery of 22 pounds of cocaine hidden among several bottles of wine, a quantity of custard powder and other products at the CJIA. The package was intercepted as it was being loaded onto a Fly Jamaica flight destined for Toronto.

Sixty-three-year-old Denis Jones, a convicted cocaine mule was the sender. He reportedly served a sentence for drug trafficking and was also deported from the United States for cocaine possession.
